The function of governance is to ensure that an organisation fulfils its overall purpose, achieves its intended outcomes and operates in an effective, efficient and ethical manner. The Board’s Standing Orders have been updated and include two new Rules (28 and 29) which make provision for meetings to be held remotely until May 2021. These were approved by the Chairman and Vice-Chairman in May for submission to DEFRA and they were formally adopted by the Board in June 2020.
